LeMaster to Play Against USA Softball Team

FAYETTEVILLE - Current University of Arkansas softball player Rachel LeMaster is playing for the Kansas All-Stars against the USA Softball Women's National Team on their 'Aiming for Athens' tour in Topeka, Kan., Sunday, June 20 at Hummer Sports Park beginning at 3:00 p.m.
"This is a great experience for Rachel and exposure for a player of our program. To play against the best softball players in the world only helps the program," said head coach Jamie Pinkerton.
The Red, White and Blue is currently 38-0 and pushes its pre-Olympic tour win streak to 152-games dating back to May 3, 1996. The team plays in Salem, Va., June 18, before traveling to the Sunflower State.
LeMaster led the Lady Razorback offense with a .298 batting average including 45 hits in her first year. At the plate, she had a seven-game hit streak stretching throughout games with Florida, Southwest Missouri State, Oklahoma City University and Georgia. LeMaster started 54 of 58 games for Arkansas in the infield, outfield or designated player position.
The Kansas All-Stars are composed of current and former college players from the area and is going to be coached by Kansas head coach Tracy Bunge.
