Tracey Mays Stehlik

Senior Associate Athletic Director

     Entering her 19th year with the Arkansas Women's Athletics Department, Tracey Mays Stehlik's career has mirrored the growth of the department. Joining the Lady'Backs as an assistant basketball coach in 1985, Tracey was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in November 1997 and was named Senior Associate Athletic Director in July 2004.
     She began her administrative career at Arkansas as the compliance coordinator in 1993 and was promoted to assistant athletic director in 1996. Stehlik also oversees complience, facilites, equipment and all home event management for the Lady'Backs.
     Meet director for the 2001, 2002, and 2003 NCAA Men's and Women's Division I Track and Field Championships, Stehlik was a member of the organizing committee for the Northwest Arkansas Race for the Cure and served as the co-race director for two years. She most recenlty co-chaired the 2002 American Heart Association's Heart Walk.
     Prior to accepting her administrative duties, Stehlik was an assistant basketball coach for seven years, helping Arkansas make five postseason appearances under head coach John Sutherland.
     Arkansas' primary recruiter during her years as a coach, Stehlik's list of signees reads like a Who's Who of Lady'Back basketball, including Kodak All-American Delmonica DeHorney, Academic All-American Amber Nicholas and two-time all-SWC Blair Savage.
     A four-year starter at Alabama-Birmingham as a forward, Stehlik earned her bachelor's at UAB in 1982. Stehlik was a graduate assistant at Kansas, completing her master's in 1985.
     Her husband, Wayne, is Director of Development for Women's Athletics. The Stehliks have two daughters, Mollie and Maggie.
