Volunteer Assistant Coach
Beginning his second season with the Lady
Razorbacks is Chris Johnson. A long-time track athlete, he was a 400-meter
Sun Belt Conference champion at Lamar University before earning his degree
in kinesiology. Following his graduation in 1999, he taught health and
physical education at East Chambers High School in Winnie, Texas.
Beginning his coaching career at East Chambers,
Johnson guided one of his athletes to state runner-up in the long jump
at the AA level.
Johnson is pursuing a master's degree in sports
management at Arkansas while he assists associate head coach Rolando Greene
with Arkansas' sprinters. Along with his duties as a volunteer assistant
coach, Johnson works in the Razorback academic center as a tutor and mentor
to Arkansas athletes.
